Review of current modeling assumptions. Identification of where uncertainty is mischaracterized or hidden. Assessment of which research paths are likely to hold under noise and which are not. Deliverable: written memo or executive briefing with a prioritized set of recommendations.
Ongoing advisory for senior technical leadership — CTOs, Chief Scientists, VPs of Research. Typically 2–4 hours per month. Scope and cadence are defined at the start of the engagement.
Evaluation of how sensitive your conclusions are to modeling assumptions. Focus on fragility to noise, unstable or nonlinear behavior in the data, and overfitting that presents as insight. Useful before committing resources to a modeling approach or presenting results to stakeholders.
A technology company had built a proprietary mathematical model as the core of a new AI product. The question was which research directions the model could actually support and which ones looked viable but would fail under realistic conditions. I evaluated the model's parameters, assessed feasibility across different configurations, and identified the research paths most likely to hold.
